Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Aaron Dressler Design (“I”, “we”) collects when you use aarondresslerdesign.com, how it’s used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Information you give us

When you use the contact form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, optional company name, the services you select, and your message. To help prevent spam and abuse, the message we receive also includes your IP address, approximate country, and the page you sent it from.

We use this only to reply to you, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of our conversation. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

Analytics

Only if you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read, how people arrive, and whether the contact form or data sheets are used. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga) and collects information like the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. It doesn’t give us your name or email address, and we don’t send it the contents of the contact form.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Cookies and your choices

When you first visit, we ask which kinds of cookies you’re happy for us to use. Nothing beyond essential storage is used until you choose, and Google Analytics doesn’t load at all unless you allow analytics. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

• Essential (always on). A small record in your browser’s storage (add-consent) remembers your choice for 6 months. Our host, Cloudflare, may also set short-lived security cookies to protect the site from abuse.
• Analytics (optional). Google Analytics cookies, _ga and _ga_Q8GQ78N8XH, distinguish visits and sessions. They last up to 2 years, and we delete them if you withdraw consent.
• Marketing (optional). Used to measure and personalize advertising. We don’t currently use any marketing cookies; if we add them, they’ll only load with your consent.

Service providers

We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

• Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Like most hosts, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages, block attacks and limit abuse of the contact form.
• Mailgun delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Microsoft 365 hosts our business email, where those messages are stored.
• Google provides Google Analytics, as described above.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
• We don’t “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any working relationship, and then deleted. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, for example California (CCPA) or the European Union (GDPR), you may have additional rights, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing. We won’t treat you differently for exercising them.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and access to messages and accounts is protected with multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
